Azoul! On The Wayve est né d'une histoire d'amour. Mehdi et Roos se sont rencontrés à Taghazout, lors d'un séjour de surf pour Roos. La famille et les amis de Roos y venaient souvent, et c'est de là qu'est née l'idée d'On The Wayve : organiser des séjours de surf inoubliables, des expériences culturelles et des aventures pour ceux qui souhaitent se connecter à l'océan, explorer la richesse culturelle et découvrir la beauté du Maroc. Aujourd'hui, Roos vit à temps partiel à Taghazout et est tombé amoureux de la ville.
Mehdi et Roos partagent tous deux une passion profonde pour le surf, même si Mehdi est quadruple champion du Maroc et que Roos a commencé le surf il y a seulement deux ans. Ils ressentent tous deux un lien fort avec l'océan, ayant grandi à ses côtés dans leur pays d'origine.
Notre passion pour l'hospitalité
Partageant notre passion pour le surf, l'aventure et la culture marocaine authentique, nous savions que nous voulions créer quelque chose d'unique. Notre objectif était simple : accueillir des gens du monde entier et partager l'authentique expérience de Taghazout, non seulement les vagues, mais aussi les trésors cachés, les saveurs locales et l'hospitalité chaleureuse qui font la singularité du Maroc.

On The Wayve is created and hosted by Roos, the main force behind the retreats. With a background in psychology, a passion for wellbeing and years of experience in surfing and living by the ocean, she curates each retreat with intention and care.
Around each retreat, we collaborate with a handpicked network of local surf coaches, yoga teachers, photographers and creative women who share their passion and skills with the group. This creates a dynamic and authentic experience that supports local talent while keeping every retreat unique.
The heart of On The Wayve stays the same: meaningful connection, ocean energy and a space where women can slow down, grow and feel at home.

Roos grew up by the beach in the Netherlands, where her love for the ocean, sports and an active lifestyle first began. With a background in behavioral psychology and a strong interest in health and wellbeing, she brings a thoughtful and insightful perspective to everything she creates.
Her experience in hospitality has shaped her passion for hosting and curating meaningful experiences where people feel welcome, seen and at ease. Roos is driven by a genuine love for connection, whether through deep conversations, shared adventures or simple moments of joy and laughter.
At the heart of On The Wayve is her energy and enthusiasm for bringing people together in beautiful places, creating experiences that feel both grounding and uplifting.
