Terms & Conditions
Welcome to On The Wayve. By booking or participating in any of our experiences, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are in place to ensure clarity, safety, and a smooth experience for all parties.
1. Payments
Multi-day Trips (e.g. retreats, 3-day trips, surfweeks)

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking amount is due within 48 hours of confirming your reservation.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than four (4) weeks before your scheduled arrival.

Bank details and payment instructions will be sent to you via email with your booking confirmation.

Please include your full name and retreat dates with all transfers.

Any additional costs, such as yoga or extra excursions, can be paid in cash or via bank transfer at the end of your stay.

If full payment is not received at least three (3) weeks before arrival, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without further notice.

Single-day Trips (Surflessons and Individual Bookings)

Full payment is required within 48 hours of confirming your booking.

Payment instructions and bank details will be sent via email.

Please include your full name, the date and kind of the experience in the transfer reference.

If payment is not received on time, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

Group Day Trips (Pre-booked)

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total amount is due within five (5) days of confirming your group booking.
-
The remaining balance must be paid no later than two (2) weeks before the scheduled trip date.

You will receive payment instructions and bank details via email after confirmation.

Please include the group name and trip date in the payment reference.
-
If full payment is not received by the deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

2. Personal Responsibility and Risk Acknowledgement

All activities offered by On The Wayve, including but not limited to surfing, yoga, hiking, or excursions, are participated in at your own risk.
-
We provide guidance, but we are not liable for any injuries, accidents, losses, or damages that may occur during your stay or while participating in any activity.

It is your responsibility to assess your own physical and mental fitness before taking part in any of the activities.
-
Participation while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from activities without refund.

3. Travel Insurance

Every participant is required to have valid travel insurance that covers medical costs, cancellations, and any activities (e.g. surfing, hiking, etc.).

On The Wayve will not be held liable for any costs arising from the absence of proper insurance coverage.
4. Passports and Visas

Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six (6) months beyond your expected return date.
-
You are responsible for securing any necessary visas for your destination and any transit countries.

5. Cancellations and Refund Policy

Multi-day Trips (e.g. retreats, 3-day trips, surfweeks)​

The 30% deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival: we will refund any additional payments (excluding the deposit), minus any bank charges.

Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival: the full booking amount is non-refundable.
-
No refunds are issued for early departures or no-shows.
-
If, in very rare cases, On The Wayve needs to cancel the trip due to unforeseen events, you will receive a full refund.

Single-day Trips (Individual Bookings)​

Full payment is required upon booking.
-
Cancellations made within 48 hours of payment: full refund.
-
Cancellations after 48 hours: the full booking amount is non-refundable.
-
No refunds for no-shows or last-minute cancellations.

If, in very rare cases, On The Wayve needs to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Group Day Trips (Pre-booked)​

The 30% deposit is non-refundable.
-
Cancellations made up to 7 days before the scheduled trip: we will refund any additional payments (excluding the deposit), minus any bank charges.

Cancellations within 7 days of the trip: the full booking amount is non-refundable.

For any changes within this period (e.g., group size adjustments, you can contact us directly.

If, in very rare cases, On The Wayve needs to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

6. Limitations of Liability
​On The Wayve shall not be held responsible for:

Any injury, death, damage, loss, expense, or delay resulting from:

Natural disasters, extreme weather, accidents, war, strikes, government restrictions, or other force majeure.
-
Cancellations or changes by airlines, transport companies, accommodation providers, or third-party service operators.
-
Failure to meet personal requirements (e.g. dietary, medical, physical limitations, allergies, smoking/non-smoking preferences).
-
Actions by participants, such as disregarding safety instructions, reckless behavior, or activities beyond their abilities.

We do not guarantee surf conditions, wave quality, weather, or environmental conditions. These are beyond our control and do not qualify for refunds or compensation.
7. Equipment Use and Damage

Any equipment (e.g. surfboards, yoga mats) used during your stay must be handled responsibly.

You will be financially liable for loss or damage of any equipment provided to you during your stay.
8. Modifications and Changes
On The Wayve reserves the right to:

Alter or cancel itineraries, scheduled activities, or services without prior notice.
-
Deny participation in activities if deemed unsafe or inappropriate for any reason, without obligation for refund or compensation.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By booking with On The Wayve, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement supersedes any prior discussions or communications.
