Top 5 best restaurants in Taghazout, Morocco!

Food in Morocco is everything. It’s one of the most important parts of daily life, and the best part? You can eat amazing food on almost every corner, and all for very affordable prices. With so many choices, though, it can be hard to know where to go. That’s why we made this list for you. With Mehdi being a local and me (Roos) living in Taghazout for 1.5 years, we’ve tried pretty much every spot in town. So here it is, our top 5 favorite restaurants to eat in Taghazout.

Right next to Teapot, on the main street, you’ll find our absolute favorite restaurant in town: Chez Titrite. She cooks everything fresh herself! The menu includes traditional Moroccan dishes, but also curries, ramen, and the best burgers with fries you will ever taste. For just €7–8, you get an incredible meal cooked by the queen herself. She travels the world to find the best recipes and spices, and you can truly taste that love and experience in every dish.

Taghazout
Food & Coffee, Moroccans best combo!

Le Spot Mehdi’s go-to restaurant is Le Spot. Here you can find everything: pasta, pizza, fresh fish, Moroccan food, and the best crêpes in town. It’s located right on the main street and is almost always full, which says enough. Quick, affordable, tasty food with good service. A perfect everyday spot.

Also next to Teapot is Red Clay Café, a fully vegan restaurant run by a Moroccan woman and her British husband. They serve the best vegan food in Taghazout, made with so much passion, you really feel it. If you’re looking for great coffee, this is the place to go. Everything is made with oat milk, and it’s honestly so good. Even non-vegans love this spot.

Taghazout
The best food made by Aisha during our retreat!

Everyone’s favorite place for breakfast and lunch: Teapot.

They serve incredible avocado toasts, smoothie bowls, fresh juices, and good coffee, all for around €6. It’s always busy, so you might have to wait a little for a table, but trust us, it’s worth it. A true Taghazout classic. Sozi cookies

If you’re on TikTok, you probably already know her. Sozi makes the best cookies you will ever eat in your life. No exaggeration. Besides cookies, her drinks and other pastries are amazing too. Her spot is close to the beach, so you can sit back, enjoy something sweet, and watch the surfers all day long. A must-try when visiting Taghazout.

Of course, there are many more great places to eat in town, but the best food, in our opinion, comes from Aisha, Mehdi’s mom. Join one of our Surf & Yoga Retreats and enjoy her cooking every day, or book a cooking class and learn directly from her. She is truly the best in town.

Hope you enjoy your stay in Taghazout,

Sea ya soon,

Mehdi & Roos
