With so many choices, though, it can be hard to know where to go. That’s why we made this list for you. With Mehdi being a local and me (Roos) living in Tamraght/Taghazout area for 1.5 years, we’ve tried pretty much every spot in town. So here it is, our top favorite restaurants to eat in Tamraght.

This is a true local gem, small, simple, and always buzzing with people. For just €5, you can enjoy one of the best tajines or couscous in town. And if you’re in the mood for a quick breakfast, their omelets are only €2. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a good old Morccan dinner while exploring the village. Even on busy days, there’s almost always a spot to sit, making it a reliable go-to when you just need a quick, tasty bite.


For those looking for fresh, healthy, and aesthetic foods, Let Be Healthy is a dream. From smoothie bowls to salads, and gluten-free or vegan-friendly options, every dish is made with care and creativity. Prices are a bit higher here, around €10 per meal, but the quality and presentation are totally worth it. It’s also one of the prettiest cafés in town, perfect for Instagram-worthy brunches that taste as good as they look.

If you love poke bowls, this is the place in Tamraght. Ohana Poke Bowl serves the freshest ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and generous portions. A full bowl costs €9, but they also offer half portions for €6, which is perfect if you want to try more than one flavor. The salmon options are our favorites, but the veggie bowls are just as impressive.


Kokoa is all about homemade goodness. From the bread to the sauces, everything is made in-house. The menu is perfect for vegetarians and vegans (but also for meat lovers), with options like bao buns, shawarma, and fresh sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable, around €5–6, making it easy to enjoy amazing homemade food without breaking the bank. Small and simple, but every bite is full of flavor.

For a cute dinner spot with cozy vibes, Casa Hakuna is our favorite. Think Spanish tapas-style plates, delicious Mocktails, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s ideal for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic dinner. Prices are higher here, around €15–20, but for the ambiance and delicious food, it’s totally worth it. The mix of local ingredients with Spanish flavors makes it both fun and comforting.


If you want local Moroccan food with a view, La Mirage is unbeatable. Perched near the beach, it’s perfect for after surf lunches while listening to the waves. The tagines, couscous, and fresh seafood are all incredible, and you can enjoy a full set meal for just €5. They also have omelets for €2, perfect for a casual breakfast by the sea. Definitely a must-visit for both taste and ambiance.
